My next tip is to consider what happens to all that waste that you put in your skip. We are all encouraged to recycle at home but skip hire companies are not regulated as to where they put your waste. Land fill sites are quickly filling up so some ‘environmentally friendly’ skip hire companies are recycling up to 90% of their waste to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. Unfortunately this costs them more. Often it's the case that cheaper skip hire companies do not recycle and some even fly-tip your waste, costing us more in council tax. So do something for the environment and check what the company you hire your skip from does with your waste.
